Lady Falcons Win Big Against The Lad Eagles

The game was pretty close at the opening period. Ateneo even opened the game with a 5-0 scoring run. However Adamson got their offense going and the quarter ended with the Lady Falcons having a slim 3 point lead, AdU 13 - ADMU 10. The second quarter proved to be the pivotal point in the game for Adamson as they outscored Ateneo, 14-6, to increase their lead to 11. The half ended, AdU 27 - ADMU 16. The Lady Falcons then stepped-up their defense in third quarter. They continually took advantage of Ateneo's errors and missed offensive sets as they increased their lead further to 21 points. The quarter ended with 48-27, in favor of Adamson. The final period was no different, as Adamson continued their defensive pressure. Though Ateneo scored an additional 13 points, it was no match to Adamson's 25. The game ended, AdU 73 - ADMU 40.

The Lady Eagles dropped to 3-6 and are 2 games behind UST. They have 5 more teams to play against, so all is not lost for the Lady Eagles campaign. In their way are cellar dweller UE, NU who has are tied with Ateneo and UST. They will also face more difficult opponents in the form of 3rd place DLSU and 2nd place FEU. It will be a uphill climb for the Lady Eagles, but a chance, no matter how slim, is still a chance.
